US Department of Transportation Extends Essential Air Service in Prescott through August 31, 2024

The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) has agreed to extend the current Essential Air Service (EAS) contract in Prescott through August 31, 2024, or until a new EAS contract has been agreed upon by the City. The current EAS agreement is with United Express, Operated by SkyWest Airlines, with daily flights to Los Angeles and to Denver.  This service has been in place since August 2018.

According to City Manager Katie Gregory, this extension will be very helpful as Prescott continues to seek an updated EAS agreement.  “This extension will allow us the time needed to finalize a new EAS.  This is great news for the Airport and for the Citizens of the Prescott region.  A special thank you to the airport staff for all their work with SkyWest and USDOT to secure this extension.” The daily flights to Los Angeles and Denver provide access to destinations around the world.  Passengers can continue to book with confidence at United.com  Prescott Regional Airport offers comfort and convenience for passengers, including free parking for up to 10 days, shorter lines and personalized service at your local airport.
