Cottonwood Area Transit and Verde Shuttle Route Detours During Final Paving of Mingus Avenue

The final paving of Mingus Ave will occur on Monday, April 11th. Mingus Avenue will be closed in its entirety between Main Street and 7th Street. As a result, the Cottonwood Area Transit (CAT) and Verde Shuttle routes will be detoured.

The South Route (Temporary Blue/Yellow/Green Combined Route) will turn on E. Ash Street instead of Mingus. The old Circle K stop will be relocated to Dairy Queen and the bus will then head South on Main Street and continue its normal route.

The Northbound (Red Line) will not be stopping at the new Circle K. To catch the bus, passengers will need to walk over to the N. Main St. / E. Apache St. stop. The bus will then continue down Main Street and turn on E. Ash Street to head back to Cottonwood Public Library.

The Verde Shuttle will detour down E. Aspen St. and pick up passengers at Aspen St. and 9th, Aspen Street and 12th, and the temporary Dairy Queen Stop. It will then get back on its normal route to Sedona. Normal routes are expected to resume on Tuesday, April 12th or when paving is complete and Mingus Ave re-opens.

For more information, or if you have questions, please contact the Cottonwood Area Transit (CAT) administrative offices at 928-634-2287.
