2023 Acker Music Night Street Closure Information

PRESCOTT, AZ  – The City of Prescott, in conjunction with the J.S.  Acker Musical Park Association, Inc., would like to invite the community to join in keeping the music alive, with the 35th Acker Musical Showcase, also known as Acker Music Night! 

Acker Music Night will kick off on Friday, December 8, 2023 with an opening ceremony at 5:00 p.m., on the stage on Gurley St, out in front of the Bucky O’Neill statue, located on the Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza. Downtown businesses will start performances at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m. or beyond. 

In anticipation of this time-cherished event, the following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 3:00pm: 

  • Gurley St from Montezuma St to Cortez St 
  • Montezuma St from Gurley St to Goodwin St 
  • First 5 parking stalls on Cortez St against the Courthouse

All other parking in the downtown area will be open, including the Granite St Parking Garage. As with any event in the downtown area, parking will be at a premium and very limited. There will be a free shuttle from Augie’s Restaurant in the Fronter Village Shopping Center (1721 Hwy 69) running from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will also be additional free parking at Mile High Middle School (access off Carleton St) from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (please note that school gates will be locked promptly at 10:00 p. m.).
