Enrollment Analysis: American Indian or Alaskan Native students comprised 7% of Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary District’s student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 33 American Indian or Alaskan Native students enrolled in Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 13.2% less than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary District welcomed 474 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian or Alaskan Native students comprised 7% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the district.

Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary District roughly covers schools within Yavapai County and has a main office in Clarkdale.

Clarkdale-Jerome Elementary School was the only school in the district which enrolled American Indian or Alaskan Native students, welcoming 33 students in the 2022-23 school year.

WalletHub claimed Arizona’s school system ranked among the worst across U.S. for class size, performance, funding, safety, and instructors’ credentials.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor markets for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.
