Prescott Public Library is marking a significant milestone with 50 years at its Goodwin Street location. To commemorate this occasion, the library is inviting community members to share their personal stories about how the library has impacted their lives.
The library encourages individuals to share memories that highlight its role in their lives. Whether it was enjoying story time as a child, participating in Summer Reading Programs, or finding crucial information with the help of a librarian, these experiences form an essential part of the library's history.
A patron named Bobbi shared her experience, saying, "My library has given me many hours of enjoyment by making books on my phone available to me. I am 85 years old, don’t drive, & don’t get around really well, so having my books come to me is such a blessing & joy! Thank you so much for making them available to me!”
These stories serve as reminders of the important role Prescott Public Library plays in the community. The library remains committed to being a place that strengthens and supports those it serves.
Submissions can be made via email or dropped off at the library. Additionally, digital scans of personal historic photos related to the library are welcome. By submitting these materials, contributors grant permission for them to be shared through any media format.
