SEDONA, Ariz. – The Sedona Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for annual inscriptions at the Sedona Military Service Park to recognize local veterans who have served their country with honor.
According to the Sedona Parks and Recreation Department, "Veterans who have resided in the greater Sedona area and wish to have their name inscribed on the granite wall, or the family of a local veteran that wishes to honor the veteran's service, must apply by May 1, 2024." Additionally, they highlighted that "Proof of military service and Sedona residency will be required with your application."
The purpose of the Sedona Military Service Park is to pay tribute to all brave Sedona men and women who have served their country during times of peace and war. The park, located within Jack Jamesen Memorial Park at 25 Northview Rd in west Sedona, honors citizens of the greater Sedona area who have served in the U.S. military, with all five branches of the military represented.
Applications for inscription can be obtained by contacting the Sedona Parks and Recreation Department via email at sedonarec@sedonaz.gov or by calling (928) 282-7098 to request one.
