Women make up majority of population in Yavapai County in 2021

Of the 233,789 people living in Yavapai County, Arizona in 2021, 50.8% (118,824) were women and 49.2% (114,965) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by Yavapai News.

Data showed the average age for women in Yavapai County in 2021 was 56 years, higher than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, women aged 18 and over outnumbered men in the same age group by 1,604. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 35,598 men and 38,914 women.
