Prescott Regional Airport, in cooperation with local nonprofit Beyond The Label, will unveil specialized communications boards at the terminal, designed to assist passengers and visitors on the autism spectrum.  Prescott Regional Airport will be the first airport in the nation to feature these boards.

The unveiling will take place inside the airport terminal on Thursday, November 16 at 1 p.m.  Local dignitaries will be invited.

According to Joanna Sweeney, with Beyond The Label in Prescott: “We run a local nonprofit called BeyondTheLabel. We have helped install board alternatives in several locations already in our Prescott community. Kayla’s Hands park has a board as well as the downtown splash pad (they have two). Also, Dr. Raber our pediatric dentist at DMD Pediatric Dentistry, and Lessons by Lexe dance studio! The files for the boards are ready to go for the airport . Our speech pathologist Wylanta Jones has given them the go! We are so excited to share!” For more information go to BeyondTheLabel.life

Members of the public and the news media are welcome to attend.
