WHO: Residents of the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority and Prescott FireDepartment jurisdictions.
WHAT: IMPLEMENTING STAGE I FIRE RESTRICTIONS
WHEN: Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 8:00 a.m.
WHERE: The 42 square miles of the City of Prescott and the 365 square miles of the CentralArizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) which includes the Towns of PrescottValley, Dewey-Humboldt, Chino Valley, and Paulden. CAFMA’s jurisdiction also appliesto areas surrounding the City of Prescott such as Williamson Valley, upper CopperBasin Road, the Mountain Club area, Ponderosa Park off White Spar Road, and the SenatorHighway area of Karen Drive, Sweet Acres, and Oak Knoll Village along with the areas ofGovernment Canyon and Diamond Valley which are south of Prescott.
WHY: The Prescott Fire Department and Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority will beenacting our Stage I Fire Restrictions on June 29, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. which will also beconsistent with the Prescott, Kaibab, and Coconino National Forests and theunincorporated areas of Yavapai County areas not protected by fire districts or area firedepartments. These restrictions will stay in effect until we receive significant rainthroughout the area to justify lifting these restrictions.
