U.S. Rep Eli Crane (R-AZ) is calling for financial transparency from the Biden family, joining a group of Senate Republicans asking for a special counsel to investigate after allegations of bribery and unknown sources of revenue arise.

“The American people deserve to know who paid the Bidens and what exactly they were paid for,” Crane tweeted on June 19, just a few days after he said, "It would shock no one in this town if Joe Biden received millions of dollars from selling out the country in a bribery scheme and then hid that money in shady shell companies."

In his tweet, Crane linked to a June 19 article by The Federalist asking, “How Did Biden Really Make His Millions?”

The article outlined the transparency demands coming from Republican lawmakers and the history behind those requests. It centers on the income reported on Biden’s 2017 taxes, a total of $9.5 million, “almost twice as much as he had earned in the prior 19 years combined,” according to the Federalist. The previously accepted reason for this massive increase was a book deal he had made with Flatiron Books, but estimates from that deal don’t get close to even half of that amount of money.

“The fact that there are credible claims signaling that a foreign national bribed the President of the United States with cash in exchange for influence over U.S. policy decisions is appalling,” Crane told Breitbart News

While it is common for corporations such as the ones created by Joe and Jill Biden after he left the office of the vice president to not report their line list items on the personal tax reports, CPA Jerry Allison told Breitbart that the lack of transparency from Biden amidst the allegations of foreign bribery “should raise concern.”

Republican lawmakers are now requesting Attorney General Merrick Garland create a special counsel for an investigation into the Biden Administration and the alleged foreign bribery running through various family members.

“Some Republicans floated using impeachment to investigate Biden if Garland won’t name a special counsel,” according to the New York Post.
