Well, the landslide bring it down
Hits me in the feels, just like real landslides. The ones that take land that was here, and then something happens (earthquakes, storms, fires, etc.), and now that land is down there in the crumbly form. Or debris flows when your land moves but is also a river of rock, earth, and, well, debris.
What can we do?
Well, partner, stay aware. I’m talking about following reputable and reliable social media pages, signing up for your local emergency notification system, and fact-checking rumors you hear.
If you’re in the path of a landslide, get to higher ground.
Listen to instructions from local officials. Just do it.
As much as we’d love to say some Fleetwood Mac (or mac n cheese) would help you, it’s not.
Also, don’t be like Garth Brooks with Friends in Low Places; avoid low-lying areas.
Really, what will tripping your friend do? It’s not like the landslide will stop to gobble your friend before coming after you. Where are your manners?
