Zolton continues to keep our communities safe
Holbrook, AZ: On February 5, 2023, Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 40 at milepost 272 in Joseph City. After a positive K-9 alert, a search of the vehicle revealed narcotic drugs, which resulted in two individuals being arrested and booked into Navajo County Jail for drug charges.
During the traffic stop, K-9 Zolton was walked around the vehicle to perform a free air sniff. Zolton had a positive alert, and a search was conducted. The search revealed over 50 pounds of Cocaine, and the estimated street value of the narcotic drugs is more than $1,200,000.00.
Luis Enrique Quintana Nunez (54) of Beaumont, CA, and Victor Hugo Chavez Lopez (35) of Lucerne Valley, CA, were arrested and booked into NCSO Jail for Transportation of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, and Possession of Narcotic Drugs. They are each being held on a $100,000.00 cash-only bond.
