The city of Sedona in Arizona is now accepting applications for city grants from 501(c) organizations. The application period opened on February 15, 2024, and will remain open until noon on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The city council will finalize the awards in July 2024.

According to the city's funding priorities, grant applications are available for programs, activities, or events developed by 501(c) organizations that provide a public service or benefit. The city has increased the funding for this year's grant cycle from $200,000 to $350,000. A minimum of 40% of the funds will be allocated to the arts, 40% to human services, and the remaining 20% will be determined by the grants committee.

To receive an application, interested organizations must complete a request form available at sedonaaz.gov/grants. The city will distribute the applications by request only. More information about the application process can also be found on the webpage.

The city of Sedona is also organizing an optional applicant workshop on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. All grant applicants, including previous recipients, are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop. Karen Kwitkin, the city of Sedona Executive Assistant, urges interested organizations to RSVP no later than Thursday, February 29, 2024, to reserve a seat.
