The city of Sedona is embarking on an exciting new chapter for its tourism industry as it seeks a Tourism Manager to lead its first-ever in-house Tourism Program. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the city's tourism efforts and striking a balance between the thriving tourism economy and the quality of life for Sedona residents.
Over the past seven months, the city has been laying the groundwork for the Tourism Program, which includes the creation of the website Scenic Sedona and the establishment of a Tourism Advisory Board comprised of residents and business owners. In addition, the city has implemented Simpleview, launched a Winter destination marketing campaign, and hired consultants for various strategic plans and marketing campaigns. The future of Sedona's tourism efforts will also emphasize responsible tourism management and environmental stewardship.
City Manager Karen Osburn expressed her enthusiasm for the progress made so far, stating, "Creating the city's new Tourism Program has been an exciting and rewarding undertaking for our existing team, and we look forward to welcoming a new Tourism Manager to help us further elevate these efforts."
