SEDONA, Ariz. - The city of Sedona is inviting musicians of all genres to apply for the upcoming Red Dirt Concerts Series in 2024. The popular community event, organized by the Parks and Recreation Department, is set to be the best year yet, according to Recreation Coordinator - Special Events Jason Vargo.

The Red Dirt Concerts Series, originally established in partnership with the Friends of the Posse Grounds, aims to showcase and support local musicians and performers while providing a platform for community gathering and entertainment. This year, the series will take place every Friday in May and September from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Posse Grounds Pavilion in Posse Grounds Park.

"The Red Dirt Concert Series is one of the most popular community events hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department, and they continue to get better and better. If history is any indication, 2024 will be the best year yet!" said Vargo.

The series is not only focused on highlighting local acts but is also open to performers from outside of northern Arizona. Each three-hour show will feature a minimum of two acts, providing a diverse lineup for concert-goers to enjoy.

Musicians and performers interested in participating in the Red Dirt Concerts Series must apply by Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 6 p.m. The application can be found at www.sedonaaz.gov/concerts. Applicants are required to provide examples of their music or performance, and the final selections will be made by a committee.

This is an excellent opportunity for talented artists to showcase their skills and be a part of a beloved community event. Don't miss your chance to be a part of the Red Dirt Concerts Series in 2024. Apply now and share your music with the Sedona community and beyond.
