The City of Prescott is offering a convenient curbside Christmas tree collection service to its residents. From January 8th to January 12th, 2024, the City's collection trucks will pass through each neighborhood one time only.

To take advantage of this service, residents are requested to have their trees curbside by 6 a.m. on their normal collection day. It is important to ensure that the trees are cleared of all decorations, lights, and stands. Plastic trees will not be picked up during this collection.

In addition to the curbside collection, residential solid waste customers have the option to dispose of their live Christmas trees at no cost. The Transfer Station, located at 2800 Sundog Ranch Rd., will be accepting trees from January 2nd to January 20th, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

For more information on the Christmas tree collection service, residents are encouraged to visit the website www.PrescottRecycles.com or contact the Solid Waste Division at 928-777-1116.

The City of Prescott is committed to providing efficient and environmentally-friendly waste disposal options for its residents. By offering this Christmas tree collection service, the city aims to promote proper waste management and encourage residents to dispose of their trees responsibly.

The City Hall, located at 201 N Montezuma St, is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents can also reach out to the Solid Waste Division for any further inquiries or assistance.

As the holiday season comes to an end, the City of Prescott is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and hassle-free disposal process for Christmas trees. By taking advantage of the curbside collection or utilizing the Transfer Station, residents can contribute to a cleaner and greener community.

In the words of the City's Solid Waste Division, "Please have trees curbside by 6 a.m. on your normal collection day and cleared of all decorations, lights and stands. Please do not bag trees. No plastic trees will be picked up during this collection."

Residents are urged to make use of this convenient service and remember to remove all decorations before placing their trees curbside. Let us all do our part in keeping Prescott beautiful and environmentally-conscious this holiday season.
