In preparation for the upcoming Prescott Christmas Village and Christkindl Market, street closures will be in effect from December 14 to December 18. The event, which is set to take place on Goodwin Street, between Montezuma and Cortez, will attract large crowds and feature various festive activities.
Goodwin Street will be closed starting Thursday, December 14 at 7 a.m. until Monday, December 18 at approximately 6 a.m. This closure is necessary to facilitate the extensive set up required for the market. The event will kick off on Friday, December 15 from 4-8 p.m., followed by Saturday, December 16 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, December 17 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
One of the highlights of the Christmas Village and Christkindl Market will be horse-drawn carriage rides around the Courthouse Plaza. With the expected increase in pedestrian and carriage traffic, drivers in the downtown area are advised to proceed with caution and be mindful of their surroundings throughout the weekend.
