Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), a Navy veteran and former Navy SEAL, has announced the launch of a Veterans Advisory Council. The council aims to provide support and representation for veterans in Arizona and strengthen the link between Rep. Crane and his constituents.
The council will have various responsibilities, including information sharing, supporting academy nominations, community advocacy, and participating in quarterly updates. Its main goal is to ensure that veterans receive the support they deserve and address the issues and challenges they face.
Rep. Crane expressed his dedication to fighting for veterans' rights, stating, "As a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee who represents a significant number of veterans in Northern Arizona, I’m sharply focused on fighting for those who risked their lives for the safety and prosperity of our nation."
The advisory council consists of a diverse group of veterans from different branches of the military. The inaugural members include Darryl Ahasteen and Gary Anderson from the U.S. Army, Rick Johnson and Steve Reynolds from the U.S. Marines, Sherra Kissee, HJ "Mitch" Mitchell, and Eugene Talas from the U.S. Air Force, Jim Muhr and Brian Price from the U.S. Navy, Josephine Sibole and John Speer from the U.S. Navy, Kelly Silva from the U.S. Army, and Michelle Stacy-Schroeder from the U.S. Army.
The launch of this council is a significant step towards ensuring that the voices of veterans in Arizona's Second Congressional District are heard and their needs are addressed. By bringing together veterans with diverse perspectives, the council will provide a range of distinct views on the challenges facing the veteran community.
