Arizona Rep. Eli Crane criticized the Biden Administration's decision to unfreeze $6 billion in funds for Iran, stating, "On 9/11, Joe Biden unfroze $6 billion to be used by Iran—a known financier of Hamas terrorism. This administration has made some unforgivable decisions." This statement comes amidst ongoing reports of casualties resulting from the Israel-Hamas conflict that unfolded over the weekend.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas began when Hamas, an Islamist militant group, launched airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. These airstrikes coincided with the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War that started on Oct. 6, 1973. The firing of thousands of rockets towards various parts of Israel, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, has resulted in a death toll of over 900 people, with thousands injured. The number of casualties is expected to rise, and among those who lost their lives, there were at least 11 American citizens. Israel has declared war on Hamas in response to the attack.

Hamas is one of the major political parties in the Palestinian territories and is known for its resistance against Israel. The United States officially designated Hamas as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997 due to tactics like suicide bombings. Iran is among the significant supporters of Hamas.

The Biden Administration has faced accusations regarding its alleged role in the attack. Last month, President Biden unfroze access to $6 billion in assets, which were intended for controlled funds and humanitarian purposes. This move was part of a deal to secure the release of some jailed American citizens. However, Iran reportedly indicated an intention to spend the funds as they see fit.

The Biden Administration has also faced scrutiny for its decision to host a barbecue event shortly after the attack in Israel. The event, which featured live music, was intended for the enjoyment of White House staff. This decision was criticized as it took place when war broke out between Israel and Hamas.

In the wake of the recent attack, immigration concerns have taken center stage among U.S. lawmakers. Many are raising questions about the potential infiltration of terrorists through illegal immigration, particularly amidst the ongoing border crisis. Former President Trump has alleged on Truth Social that members of Hamas are entering the country through the open border and plotting attacks on U.S. soil. This has sparked a broader debate about the Biden administration's border control measures and their impact on national security.

Arizona State Senator Justine Wadsack expressed her concerns about the situation, stating, "AMERICANS, Pay Attention! Joe Biden just gave Iran $6 Billion last month. Iran's parliament chants 'Death to Israel, Death to America'... today. Israel is at WAR with HAMAS as of this morning. America's borders are intentionally wide open. Know Your History!"

Lou Dobbs, an American conservative political commentator, also raised questions about the potential infiltration of radical Islamist terrorists through the southern border, stating, "How many radical Islamist terrorists have crossed our southern border into the U.S. in the past two and a half years? Where are they? What do they intend? Only the anti-semitic Marxist Dems who control this corrupt anti-America Biden Regime know. And who are they? It's time we have answers."
