Asphalt Paving & Supply, Inc., in conjunction with Yavapai County and the Town of Prescott Valley, will be performing roadwork on Prescott East Highway from the intersection with Highway 69 through Antelope Lane. Construction will begin October 10, 2022, continuing through January 26, 2023. Road construction will be performed in three phases.
Phase one work will be from Highway 69 to Copper Hill Road and will consist of concrete sidewalk improvements, the addition of a turn lane, drainage improvements and placement of new asphalt. Work completed in phase 1 will impact drivers accessing Prescott East Highway but will always remain open.
Phase two work will be from Copper Hill Road to Sunset Lane and will consist of full depth recycling of the asphalt, cement treatment of base material, paving, and reestablishment of the concrete curb for the median. Mini traffic circles will be added to assist traffic in the neighborhood. Phase two construction will close Prescott East Highway to through traffic, detours will be clearly marked, and intersections will remain open with minimal traffic control for traffic flowing around the work zone.
Phase three construction will be from Sunset Lane to Antelope Lane and will consist of full depth recycling of the asphalt, cement treatment of base material, paving, and reestablishment of the concrete curb at the median. Mini traffic circles will be added to assist traffic in the neighborhood. Phase three construction will close Prescott East Highway to through traffic, detours will be clearly marked, and intersections will remain open with minimal traffic control for traffic flowing around the work zone
During critical periods of construction portions of Prescott East Highway will be closed to through traffic, detour routes will be signed, however, motorists may encounter lane restrictions, lane diversions, reduced speeds, and flagging operations at the intersections with Prescott East Highway and the detour routes. Motorists should expect detours, minor delays and allow extra time to get through the construction area. Please follow all traffic control devices when traveling through the work zone.
