Megaphone gd7b38fb34 1280

The City of Cottonwood recently entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Town of Clarkdale to provide Magistrate Services for the Town of Clarkdale.

The Clarkdale Magistrate Court Services will now be under the operation of the City of Cottonwood and Judge Catherine Kelley.

The Town of Clarkdale and the City of Cottonwood have a long history of working collaboratively. The two communities have contracted with the same prosecuting attorney for years. Co-location of the Magistrate Court into Cottonwood’s Municipal Court provides many benefits, including synergy of the criminal justice system for users.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Monday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at the Cottonwood Courthouse at 665 E. Mingus Avenue, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
