The City of Prescott has decided to hold all Prescott City Council meetings virtually until further notice due to COVID-19, according to a news release.
Meetings will be live-streamed on the city's website and citizens will be able to attend via Zoom, according to the news release, where they can virtually "raise their hand" and speak on agenda items for up to three minutes.
All city board meetings, as well as commission and committee meetings, will also be conducted via Zoom for the foreseeable future.
If community members would also like to submit written comments, those can still be done on the city's website and they will be read by the city clerk during the meeting, according to the news release.
The news release also noted that the city encourages the public to participate in the meetings via Zoom and through online comments. The public comments will follow the same guidelines as they do in-person wherein they cannot last longer than three minutes and profanity and threatening language will not be read.
