It’s no secret that the COVID-19 outbreak has changed the way people work, and how government functions and that’s true for the Prescott Unified School District as well.
On March 18, the Prescott Unified School District’s governing board announced that they will continue to hold school board meetings, limiting the gathering to 10 individuals. There will be no public audience, although the public will have an opportunity to view the meetings as they happen.
To comply with Arizona Open Meeting law, the school board has chosen to live stream meetings on the school district’s YouTube channel.
The March 24 meeting is currently uploaded, and meetings will be streamed in this way until further notice, the school district announced on March 18.
Prescott schools are closed at least through March 27, although there were no confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection as of March 14, when the school district announced that schools would be closed to students and staff starting March 16.
