Uptown Big Band

Description

Can't stay up until Midnight on New Years' Eve? Don't worry - join us for a very special Almost New Years' Eve Concert on Saturday December 28 featuring the Uptown Big Band. Brought back by popular demand from our Jazz Festival in September, and Valentine's day concert, the Uptown Big Band is a 13-piece vintage jazz orchestra playing standards from the WWII Era, swing music from around the world, music from the Roaring 20s, the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s to the present, and Rock.

Talented vocalists have stage presence, and the band lights up the event with rhythm and pizzazz. Music Influenced by: Michael Buble, Pink Martini, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, Harry Connick, Jr., Sinatra, Rat Pack, and Norah Jones. Venues played: The Wrigley Mansion, the Arizona Biltmore, the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess, the Phoenix Ritz Carlton, Phoenix and Scottsdale Hyatt Regency, Tucson's La Paloma and the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort.

The Uptown Big Band has added professional swing dancers to liven up the stage. You’ll also be surrounded by the sounds of romance and drama and enjoy tasty bites throughout the evening.
