Dr. Selina Bliss, a Republican member of the Arizona State House representing the 1st District since 2023, has recently shared updates on legislative developments and community recognition through her social media posts.
On April 3, 2026, Bliss expressed disappointment regarding the progress of a key piece of legislation, stating, “It is extremely disappointing that HB2429 (short-term rentals; vacation rentals; occupancy) did not get a hearing in the Senate! This was THE short-term rental bill of the session, agreed on by stakeholders that would have respected all private property rights! STR bill slows”.
Two days later, on April 4, she highlighted her involvement with the arts community and recent recognition at the state Capitol: “LD1 and Arizona benefit in numerous ways through the arts community.
