Dr. Selina Bliss, a Republican who has represented Arizona’s 1st House District in the State House since 2023, recently shared several legislative and community updates through her social media posts.

On November 17, 2025, Bliss announced the introduction of her first bill for the session. She wrote, “Off to the races! Just introduced into the hopper the first bill of the session. Designed to address the late-early ballots to streamline election processes. Getting a lot of support for this one “

Two days later, on November 18, she commented on ongoing concerns about fentanyl trafficking in Arizona following a briefing from state prosecutors. In her post, Bliss stated, “I appreciated the legislative briefing from the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys on the fentanyl crisis. It appears 65% of the nation’s fentanyl is still coming through Arizona’s borders. In addition to supporting law enforcement and border control, it is time to look at legislation”.

On November 19, Bliss highlighted an upcoming community meeting organized by state environmental officials regarding water quality in northern Arizona: “The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is hosting a community meeting tomorrow evening about the nomination of the Upper Verde River as an Outstanding Arizona Water (OAW).

MEETING DETAILS:
DATE: Wednesday, November 19, 2025
TIME: – p.m.
LOCATION: Paulden”

Bliss was elected to office in 2023 after succeeding Judy Burges as representative for District 1 in northern Arizona.
