Dr. Selina Bliss, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 representing the state’s 1st House District, shared updates from her recent activities in Washington, D.C., through a series of posts on December 20, 2025.
In one post, Bliss discussed issues related to substance addiction treatment: “While in DC this week, learned more about fraud, waste, and abuse in substance addiction treatment, which are exposed in this award-winning documentary. She also acknowledged a meeting with Jane Andersen at the Capitol focused on political engagement: “Thank you, Jane Andersen, for joining me in my office at the Capitol this week to discuss political engagement that can bring about meaningful change. Additionally, Bliss described her role as Chair of the House Health & Human Services Committee and her meeting with CMS Director Dr. Emmet Oz: “As Chair of the House Health & Human Services Committee, it was a welcome opportunity for me to meet with CMS Director Dr. Emmet Oz in DC this week on State Medicaid changes and the Rural Health Transformation Fund to improve rural health care access in Arizona https://t.co/ezUJLvLy06” (December 20, 2025).
Bliss succeeded Judy Burges as state representative after being elected in 2023.
