Dr. Selina Bliss, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 representing the state’s 1st House District, has provided legislative updates and reflections on her recent activities through a series of posts on social media.

On April 6, 2026, Bliss announced progress on several bills she sponsored, stating: “The Bliss Bills – Hot off the press legislative updates tracking the bills I sponsored that passed out of the House Chamber are now in the Senate. Continuing her legislative work, Bliss posted on April 7, 2026 about her role as Chair of the House Health and Human Services Committee: “As the Chair of the House HHS Committee, I was honored to co-chair the final DCS Oversight Hearing on child safety reforms with Senator Werner today. I commit to continuing to shepherd these bipartisan reform bills through the House Chamber that will address process improvements https://t.co/Eu4Q9lOEyc”.

Later that same day, Bliss referenced her personal connection to Arizona’s history and a bill she sponsored: “Having grown up in Arizona, and out of a deep respect for our rich history, is why I sponsored HB2079 (memorial; Don Bolles) on the 50th anniversary of the Don Bolles assassination https://t.co/iiEowIwSDK. https://t.co/2mx6fa5USK”.

Bliss succeeded Judy Burges as state representative for Arizona’s 1st House District following her election in 2023.
