On August 31, 2025, Bliss highlighted the ongoing responsibilities of state legislators in overseeing agencies, specifically referencing concerns about inmate deaths within the Arizona Department of Corrections. She wrote, “As State legislators, overseeing State agencies is one part of our year-round job. Kudos to LD1 Chair of the Judiciary Committee @QuangNguyenAZ for calling out the Arizona Department of Corrections on the recent increase in inmate deaths!
