Dr. Selina Bliss, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 to represent the state’s 1st House District, recently addressed several issues and events on her social media account.

On November 14, 2025, Dr. Bliss commented on allegations involving the Governor’s Office and the Department of Child Safety (DCS), stating: “Houston, we have a problem! Very unsettling what is coming out of the Governor’s Office in an apparent pay-to-play scandal at the Department of Child Safety (DCS). As Chair of the HHS Committee, I’m looking forward to participating in the State House Advisory Committee’s https://t.co/bNskA5CrP5”.

The following day, she highlighted community efforts related to animal welfare by sharing: “A beautiful celebration today with the Yavapai Humane Society Serenity House Grand Opening. This is the newest edition to support families during their pet’s end-of-life care. Since 1972, the work this group has been doing to advocate for animals, individuals, and our communities https://t.co/GoXsxzNAeW” (November 15, 2025).

Later that same day, Dr. Bliss referenced her personal and professional connection to cancer during her participation at a statewide event: “Cancer affects us all, and for me it is personal and professional. Dr. Bliss succeeded Judy Burges as representative for Arizona’s 1st House District following her election in 2023.
