The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced the extension of in-person meeting hours in Gila County following severe flooding. The SBA is offering low-interest federal disaster loans to eligible businesses, nonprofit organizations, residents, and tribal nations affected by the flooding. These loans include Business Physical Disaster Loans, Home and Personal Property Loans, and Economic Injury Disaster Loans.
The declaration covers several Arizona counties: Coconino, Gila, Graham, Maricopa, Navajo, Pinal, and Yavapai. SBA customer service representatives are available at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce located at 1360 N. Broad St., Globe, AZ 85501. They are now available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m MST.
For those interested in scheduling an in-person appointment or applying online for loans offered by the SBA, more information can be found on their website or by contacting their Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or via email at disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
The deadline for returning physical damage applications is December 9, 2025, while economic injury applications must be returned by July 10, 2026.
Physical Disaster Loans allow businesses and nonprofits to borrow up to $2 million for repairing or replacing damaged real estate and other assets. Homeowners and renters can apply for up to $100,000 for personal property replacement or repair and up to $500,000 for primary residence repairs.
Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are also available for small businesses and certain nonprofits that have suffered financial losses due to the disaster. These loans provide working capital for fixed debts and other expenses not covered due to the disaster’s impact.
More details can be accessed through the SBA’s press release on their official site.
