This week, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that low-interest federal disaster loans are now available for businesses, nonprofit organizations, and tribal nations affected by the Dragon Bravo and White Sage fires in Arizona. The disaster declaration was issued on August 13 and includes Coconino, Gila, Mohave, Navajo, and Yavapai Counties. These loans are part of SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program and aim to assist with working capital needs and operating expenses that could have been covered if the disasters had not occurred.

U.S. Representative Eli Crane, who serves Arizona’s 2nd district in Congress since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023, is associated with this announcement. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley.

For more information or to apply for these loans, interested parties can visit the SBA website or contact their Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or via email at disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
