On Friday, Representative Eli Crane visited the towns of Globe and Miami in Arizona to meet with local leaders following severe flooding that affected Gila County last weekend. The floods caused significant damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure across the region.
Representative Crane and his team have been working alongside officials at the local, state, and federal levels to coordinate response efforts. He has expressed support for seeking assistance from various agencies, including the Small Business Administration, Department of Agriculture, FEMA, and the Federal Highway Administration.
“Our prayers are with everyone impacted in Gila County, especially the families who lost loved ones during this catastrophe,” said Rep. Crane. “My team and I are in constant contact with federal, state, and local partners, and we appreciate the response of community leaders and the dedication of first responders. Although this flooding is devastating, it’s inspiring to see thousands of volunteers helping their fellow Arizonans during this crisis.”
Eli Crane represents Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. Congress. He took office in 2023 after replacing Tom O’Halleran. Crane was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
