Yesterday, U.S. Representative Eli Crane visited the towns of Globe and Miami in Arizona to assess the damage caused by severe flooding in Gila County. The area is facing significant destruction of homes, businesses, and infrastructure following last weekend’s floods.
Rep. Crane, who has been serving Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023 after replacing Tom O’Halleran, met with local leaders to discuss ongoing response efforts. He expressed his full support for assistance from agencies such as the Small Business Administration, Department of Agriculture, FEMA, and the Federal Highway Administration.
“Our prayers are with everyone impacted in Gila County, especially the families who lost loved ones during this catastrophe,” Rep. Crane said. “My team and I are in constant contact with federal, state, and local partners, and we appreciate the response of community leaders and the dedication of first responders.”
The congressman commended the efforts of thousands of volunteers aiding their fellow Arizonans during this crisis. Despite the devastation caused by the flooding, he found inspiration in the community’s resilience.
Rep. Crane was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
