Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on his official X account on August 20, 2025, addressing recent congressional activities and media appearances.
In one post dated August 20, 2025, Crane commented on the mindset of members of Congress by stating, “This is spot on. Sadly, too many of my colleagues in Congress don’t share this mindset.” In another update later that day, he recapped his appearance on a local radio show: “Yesterday, I joined The Jeff Oravits Show to share updates on Congress and #AZ02. We covered the Russia-Ukraine negotiations, the Big Beautiful Bill, the latest on the Dragon Bravo Fire, and my proposal to defund @NEDemocracy. Appreciate the invite, @JeffOravits.” Later that evening, Crane added a brief statement: “The swamp is being drained.”
Crane has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district. He was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
