Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, recently addressed multiple policy issues on his social media account, including concerns about the San Carlos Irrigation Project and federal energy policy.
On October 7, 2025, Crane wrote that his staff had participated in a panel discussion regarding the San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP) at the Southwest Tribal Utilities Seminar. He stated, “Last week, my staff joined a panel discussion on the San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP) at the Southwest Tribal Utilities Seminar. I’ve urged @doioig to investigate the longstanding issues at SCIP. A solution requires transparency.”
Later that same day, Crane commented on healthcare policy, specifically criticizing the Affordable Care Act. He posted, “Democrats are dangerously close to finally admitting that Obamacare has been a huge failure that requires massive and unsustainable bailouts at the expense of…taxpayers.”
On October 8, 2025, he addressed U.S. renewable energy imports and deployment by writing, “Thank your nearest democrat and even some weak republicans. All for billions in Chinese solar panels and ugly/unreliable wind turbines.”
Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd district since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has made frequent public statements on infrastructure and national policy since entering Congress.
