Rep. Eli Crane, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, voiced his views on several political issues in a series of posts published on December 17, 2025.

In his first post, Crane questioned the effectiveness of the Affordable Care Act, writing “Is anyone surprised that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) isn’t affordable? Democrats promised lower prices and the ability to keep your doctor, but the law fails without endless taxpayer bailouts. It’s time to apply some free-market principles. @mattgaetz” (December 17, 2025).

Later that day, he commented on Senate procedural rules and Democratic strategy: “As soon as Democrats retake the Senate, they will nuke the filibuster. In 2022, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema blocked the Democrats’ attempt, but they are no longer in office. Republicans should act first and codify President Trump’s agenda.” (December 17, 2025).

In a third post addressing congressional ethics, Crane stated “Things that make you go Members of Congress should NOT be allowed to trade stocks.” (December 17, 2025).

Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District since succeeding Tom O’Halleran in 2023. He was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
