U.S. Representative Eli Crane, who serves Arizona’s 2nd district, posted a series of tweets on October 9, 2025, expressing skepticism and criticism regarding the Nobel Peace Prize and its selection process.

In his first post, Crane questioned the decision-making of those awarding the prize, writing: “Tomorrow, “global elites” will announce the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Do you think they’ll do the right thing and give it to President Trump?” (October 9, 2025).

Later that day, he commented on another issue, stating: “What a disgusting stance to take. No shame.” (October 9, 2025).

In a subsequent tweet, Crane remarked on an image involving former President Barack Obama: “At least they picked a good picture. Even Obama looks confused. “ (October 9, 2025).

Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District in Congress since 2023, succeeding Tom O’Halleran. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley.
