Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on December 4, 2025, raising questions about government spending, impeachment proceedings, and public apologies regarding Secretary Hegseth.

At 13:01 UTC, Rep. Crane asked, “Where did all the money go?”

Later that morning at 13:40 UTC, he followed up with another post stating, “How many reasons do we need to impeach this guy before the swamp will grow a spine and do the right thing?”

In an additional tweet posted at 15:34 UTC on the same day, Rep. Crane commented on recent events involving Secretary Hegseth: “It appears as though a whole bunch of partisan hacks owe Secretary Hegseth a public apology.”

Eli Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has served as a member of Congress since January 2023.
