Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing the topic of gender and sports participation.

On March 15, 2026, Crane wrote: “Men should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports. This is not complicated. Unless you’re an elected democrat, I guess.”

Later that same day, he followed up with another post stating: “Rules for thee but not for me” (March 15, 2026).

Crane was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as the representative for Arizona’s 2nd district after the 2022 elections.
