Rep. Eli Crane, U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district, posted several statements on his official social media account regarding recent legislative efforts and national events.

On January 9, 2026, Crane announced new legislation aimed at addressing water security issues in rural Arizona. He wrote, “I’m honored to introduce legislation to help secure long-term water security in rural Arizona. After meeting with tribal leaders and surrounding communities, it was clear how much certainty and stability this bill would provide. Proud to fight for #AZ02.”

Later that day, Crane commented on a law enforcement incident in Minneapolis. He stated, “Ignoring lawful commands and driving into an officer is dangerous and illegal. Based on the footage from the Minneapolis incident, the response was clearly an act of self-defense. It’s a tragic situation, but the video evidence should fully exonerate the officer.” The remarks referenced widely circulated footage related to the case.

On January 10, 2026, Crane shared a brief statement reflecting broader public sentiment: “The American people have had enough.”

Crane has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district. Born in Tucson in 1980, he currently resides in Oro Valley.
