Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted several updates on December 9, 2025, regarding local issues and legislative developments relevant to his constituents.
In a message aimed at small businesses affected by recent flooding in Gila County, Crane wrote: “Important reminder for #AZ02 small businesses impacted by the devastating flooding in Gila County. There is still time to return applications to @SBAgov for disaster relief loans. See info below: https://t.co/QdAv7MXnBi” (December 9, 2025).
Later that day, Crane shared details about a tour of state law enforcement facilities alongside other Arizona officials. He stated: “On Friday, I joined @RepAndyBiggsAZ and Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen for a tour of @Arizona_DPS facilities across our state. Thank you to Jeff Hawkins, President of @AZTroopers, for hosting us and sharing an update on their operations.” (December 9, 2025).
In the evening, Crane announced progress on federal legislation benefiting rural communities in his district: “Tonight, the House passed a three-year extension of the Secure Rural Schools program, which now heads to President Trump’s desk for his signature. This is a huge win for every county in #AZ02, and I’m grateful to everyone who contributed to getting this across the finish line.” (December 9, 2025).
Crane has served as the representative for Arizona’s 2nd District since replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley at age 43, he continues to address issues affecting both urban and rural parts of his district.
