Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, shared updates on legislative efforts and recent wildfire recovery in northern Arizona through several posts on May 1, 2026.
In a post published at 13:10 UTC, Crane stated, “Proud to be one of the 73.”
Later that day at 14:35 UTC, he addressed the impact of recent wildfires in his district, writing, “Last year, northern #AZ02 was dealt a major setback with the Dragon Bravo and White Sage Fires.
I’m proud to have passed bills out of the House to expedite recovery from BOTH.”
At 14:49 UTC on May 1st, Crane posted another message: “Spot on.”
Crane has represented Arizona’s 2nd congressional district since succeeding Tom O’Halleran in 2023. He was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley. The region recently experienced significant damage due to two major fires—the Dragon Bravo Fire affecting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and the White Sage Fire impacting Kaibab National Forest—prompting legislative action for expedited recovery efforts.
