Rep. Eli Crane, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 2nd district, has posted several statements on his official Twitter account criticizing Senate Democrats for recent federal agency shutdowns.

On March 8, 2026, Crane responded to an earlier statement by simply writing “Correct.” Later that day, he directly addressed the impact of congressional actions, posting “Thank your nearest Senate Democrat. They shut down TSA three weeks ago.”

Continuing his criticism the following day, March 9, 2026, Crane urged Senate Democrats to take action: “Senate Democrats should end their politically motivated shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security.”

Crane has served as a representative since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran in Arizona’s 2nd district. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane has become known for his vocal positions on issues related to federal government operations and accountability.
