Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district, posted a series of statements on his social media account in March 2026 regarding the status of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ongoing political disputes in the Senate.

On March 11, 2026, Crane stated, “We need the Department of Homeland Security to be operating at 100%.” Later that day, he added criticism directed at Senate Democrats: “Democrats have abused the filibuster in the Senate to shut down the Department of Homeland Security for over three weeks now. They are forcing chaos into the lives of everyday Americans. Enough is enough.”

The following morning, on March 12, Crane posted an American flag emoji without further comment: “”

Crane has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after replacing Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district. He was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
