Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media account on November 3, 2025, to express criticism of the Affordable Care Act and comment on recent political developments.
In a post published at 01:04 UTC, Crane wrote: “Obamacare is terrible.” Later that day, at 13:35 UTC, he added: “The Schumer shutdown has backfired on democrats.
It has exposed them for what they did to healthcare in America.
Obamacare is a disaster.” In another post at 15:01 UTC, Crane shared an emoji with a link: ” https://t.co/O1dGJiFnDJ”
Crane’s remarks come amid ongoing debates about healthcare policy and government funding in Washington. The reference to the “Schumer shutdown” alludes to actions associated with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and congressional Democrats during a recent federal funding impasse.
Crane began serving in Congress after replacing Tom O’Halleran in 2023 and represents Arizona’s 2nd District. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane currently resides in Oro Valley.
