Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, has posted several statements on his social media account addressing healthcare policy and the ongoing government shutdown.
On October 2, 2025, Crane posted a brief message accompanied by a link: “Hero.”
The following day, on October 3, 2025, he commented on federal healthcare legislation: “So we can all admit that Obamacare has been a huge failure, right? Otherwise everyone’s healthcare wouldn’t be so expensive, frustrating, and dependent on government subsidies.”
Later that same day, Crane addressed the government shutdown and Senate dynamics in another post: “They are mad that everyone is telling the truth. Senate democrats shut down the government, but Chuck Schumer is losing momentum. Only five more democrat senators need to defy him for the government to reopen.”
Eli Crane succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative of Arizona’s 2nd district in 2023. He was born in Tucson in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
