Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of messages on October 30, 2025, criticizing House Democrats’ stance on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and highlighting recent legislative actions.
In one post from October 30, Crane wrote: “If you haven’t already, you are going to see a flood of performative posts from shameless House Democrats about SNAP.
On September 19, the House passed a bill to fund the program and keep the government OPEN.
Every single House Democrat, with one exception, voted NO.
Just FYI.”
Earlier that day, Crane also shared two other posts: “https://t.co/AJWIYBdu1Z” at 16:06:41 UTC and “https://t.co/FYrtvXnPU5” at 16:06:42 UTC. The content of these links was not specified in his tweets.
Crane’s comments refer to the vote held on September 19 regarding funding for SNAP and preventing a government shutdown. According to his account, all but one House Democrat opposed the measure.
Eli Crane has served as representative for Arizona’s 2nd District since defeating Tom O’Halleran in 2023. Born in Tucson in 1980 and currently residing in Oro Valley, Crane is among several lawmakers using social media platforms to communicate legislative developments and critique opposing party strategies.
