Rep. Eli Crane, who represents Arizona’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, made a series of posts on his official social media account on September 23, 2025, addressing issues ranging from government shutdowns to international organizations.

In one post at 14:12 UTC, Crane stated: “Well said, President Trump. If Democrats are willing to shut down the government over taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries and healthcare for illegals, they can own the consequences.”

Later that day at 14:44 UTC, he commented on the United Nations and USAID: “It would be overly generous to say that the UN is worthless. USAID on steroids…”

Crane has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after succeeding Tom O’Halleran. He was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1980 and currently resides in Oro Valley.
