Rep. Eli Crane, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 2nd district since 2023, posted a series of critical messages on social media on January 15 and 16, 2026, addressing recent congressional actions and spending.

On January 15, Crane wrote: “A big deal. #AZ02 https://t.co/xlld83WYJf”. The following day, he commented on bipartisan congressional spending decisions with the statement: “And swamp republicans teamed up with democrats to give them $315 million more of YOUR dollars this week. Disgusting. https://t.co/TK3jwJwj3S” (January 16, 2026). Shortly after, he added another post stating: “Insane… https://t.co/RickHRVamR” (January 16, 2026).

Crane’s comments reflect ongoing debates in Congress over federal spending and bipartisan cooperation. He succeeded Tom O’Halleran as representative for Arizona’s 2nd district in 2023 and has served in that role since then. Born in Tucson in 1980, Crane is currently a resident of Oro Valley.
